Manila, Philippines — Tanaw Collective, a newly formed group composed of iconic women of OPM, consists of Acel Bisa, Hannah Romawac, Barbie Almalbis, Lougee Basabas, Kitchie Nadal, and Aia de Leon. Their debut single, “Landslide,” is now available on all digital music platforms.
“Landslide,” a 1975 hit song by Fleetwood Mac, is about the uncertainties and changes that come in life, with which the Tanaw Collective members can relate.

“Landslide is a song that we all know and love,” shares Barbie Almalbis. “I think each of us has covered it at some point. The first version I actually heard was the Smashing Pumpkins cover. I was in high school, and I immediately connected with it. The song’s themes of life, love, and the shifting seasons have only deepened in meaning for us as we’ve all grown older together.”
In a recent press conference for Tanaw: The Repeat Concert, the members shared how they wrote the song during a jam session at Barbie’s place.

“It all came naturally. Hannah was jamming the song at Barbie’s place. The living area is full of musical instruments and everyone just picked up whatever instrument they wanted to play. Hannah started playing “Landslide.” Soon after, we decided why don’t we record the song and it turns out that it’s was an easy thing to do,” Aia said.

“The lyrics of the song, it really resonated sa aming lahat. We have different stories but in a way parang parallel, different but the same. This song would speak to my heart,” Acel added.
Tanaw Collective stands as a testament to the power of women-led collaborations. This new initiative will explore a wide range of creative ventures, including collaborative music releases, live performances, and other projects that amplify female voices in the music industry.

The sold-out show on February 9, 2025, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, will differ from the previous one. Fans can expect surprises and a collaboration with the Manila String Machine on selected songs.

“We have new songs to perform. Songs that we have produced and composed together as a collective, that is something to look forward to,” Lougee said.
The concert will be an epic event as the Tanaw Collective showcases its talents, giving back to the fans who supported them throughout their musical careers.
