KWAVE Music Festival Manila delivered a fusion of K-pop and P-pop, delighting fans

Manila, Philippines – A free concert featuring K-pop and P-pop acts was held at the Burnham Green, Rizal Park on May 11, 2024, for the KWAVE Music Festival Manila.

The program is celebration of 75 years of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and South Korea, and at the same time the closing ceremony for the Badminton Asia tournament.

South Korean girl group fromis_9 gave the fans a treat with their Philippines debut performing their hit songs “We Go,” “Feel Good,” “#menow,” “Stay This Way,” and “DM.”

The Boyz had the crowd on their feet from the moment they appeared on stage.

The South Korean boy group powered through a setlist that included fan favorites like “Nectar,” “Watch It,” “Roar,” “Thrill RIde,” and “Fire Eyes.”

Solo artist Darlene Vibares, opened the night performing her song “Stay,” followed by IU’s “Love Wins All,” and her own rendition of “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys.

4-member girl group YARA, captivated the fans with their stage presence and powerful vocals as they performed their original songs “Eksena,” and “ADDA”.

The group also made a cover performance of “Bebot’ by Black Eyes Peas and “Bakit Papa?” by the SexBomb Girls.

P-pop boy group PLUUS amazed the crowd with their songs “Universe,” “Shining Star,” and “My Time.”

They also ended their set with a cover song of RIIZE’s “Get A Guitar.”

KAIA known for their energy and vibrant choreography, lit up the stage with their hit songs “Blah Blah,” “You Did It,” “Dalawa” and “Feeling Myself” originally by Nicki Minaj and Beyonce.

The last P-pop girl group that performed is YGIG who mesmerized the audience with their visuals, vocals and choreography.

YGIG delivered an amazing set including “Universe,” “Touchdown,” “Shaba Shaba,” and Blackpink’s “Pretty Sàvage.”
