Thai pop duo SCRUBB surprises fans in PH debut

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Thailand-based duo SCRUBB electrified their fans during their debut concert in the Philippines on February 10 at Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City.

Scrubb is composed of lead vocalist Thawatpon Wongboonsiri and guitarist Torpong Chantabubpha, who have been making music since 2000.

The well-known band has produced six albums and has performed sold-out shows in various cities in Asia, including Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and more.

The pop duo, known for their songs featured in the TV show ‘2gether the series,’ ensured that their inaugural event in the country would be unforgettable.

They were enchanted by the way Filipino fans welcomed them on stage while they played their hit songs “Everything,” “Together,” “Close,” “Some,” and “Click.”

Meanwhile, up-and-coming Filipino hip-hop artist and actor Elijah Canlas kicked off the anticipated event with his original songs, including ‘Asar Talo,’ ‘Loved Song,’ and the Senior High OST ‘Kilala Kita’.

It was then followed by the performance of indie artist TONEEJAY singing some of his famous songs and new songs, including ‘7/11′, ‘Parang Magic,’ ‘Aurora,’ and ‘Bawat Piyesa’.

The event featured various segments to engage with Filipino fans and awarded them special prizes from sponsors Katinko and Greenwich.

SVIP and VIP ticket holders were able to meet the band and have a photo-op before the show started. Additionally, they received other merchandise, such as a signed poster.
