Manila, Philippines – In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Philippines-South Korea friendship, another event featuring K-pop and P-pop acts was held on May 26 at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in Manila, called ‘SBTown Music Fiesta.’
Despite the rainy weather, Filipino fans eagerly attended to see their favorite K-Pop and P-Pop idols perform at this free-admission musical event.
The Music Fiesta featured South Korean star Kim Jisoo, known for his roles in “Strong Girl Bong-soon,” “My First First Love,” and “Scarlet Heart Ryeo.” The event was hosted by actor and model Danny Lee.
Adding to the excitement, emerging P-Pop groups YGIG, Zela, BILIB, and PLUUS showcased their talents, delighting the crowd.
Emerging K-Pop groups X:IN, Queenz Eye, and Dignity made their presence felt as they performed their new tracks and covers, captivating the audience with their performances.
The evening became more vibrant with a powerful performance by Darlene and Korean soloists Yu Suhyun and Jang Hyeri, who delivered a moving cover of the OPM classic “Anak” by Freddie Aguilar.
The event also honored three scholars from the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (PEFTOK) Veterans Association, commemorating the 75-year bond between the two nations.
