“Grabe ka, Ninang Puregold, binuhay mong puso ng bawat Pilipino. Pinagsama-sama mong lahat ng fandom at mga malulupit na guest stars!” Puregold OPM Con 2025 concertgoer, Mhadz Garcia, gushed in her Facebook post about the recently held star- studded music event.

On July 5, the Philippine Arena, undeniably the world’s largest indoor entertainment venue, became the stage for one of the most spectacular nights in Filipino music history. With more than 30,000 fans in attendance, Puregold OPM Con 2025 marked a new era for original Filipino music, bringing together icons, rising stars, and all manner of fans.

The event featured a powerhouse lineup of today’s hottest OPM acts—BINI, Flow G, G22, KAIA, SB19, Skusta Clee, and SunKissed Lola—but what truly made the night historic were the surprise collaborations that bridged generations: James Reid performed with BINI; Mayonnaise teamed up with KAIA; Yeng Constantino sang alongside G22; and the legendary Rico Blanco joined forces with SB19, giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.

“It’s not only about the artists and the kind of genre they’re in, but the music and our stories worth celebrating,” shared Jobelle Nervar. “Thank you, Ninang Puregold.”

The audience was a glimpse of your daily supermarket crowd—an energized, diverse bunch of everyday Filipinos who earned their tickets through Puregold’s grocery promos, an accessibility that was celebrated, and rightfully so.

As articulated by Pinoy Publiko in his blog, “What stood out most was the diversity of the crowd. It wasn’t a scene dominated by influencers or industry insiders; it was full of people who got in through supermarket purchases and raffle entries. And while Puregold may be better known for groceries than gigs, the event showed that a retail chain can, surprisingly, pull off a large-scale cultural moment.”

Adding to this acclaim, Philippine Star’s Interaksyon declared, “That night proved that OPM is not just a moment, but a strong movement. And it, indeed, was pure gold.”

In their review, they mentioned how the concert marked history “as it gathered not only the country’s top OPM artists, but also their beloved fans.”

Ardent followers likewise expressed heartfelt thanks for an experience that was both generous and inclusive.

“Ninang Puregold, salamat po sa pagdala ng OPM artists sa Philippine Arena,” wrote Maria C. Escobal.

“They all deserved to be heard and to perform in the biggest arena—dahil atin ‘to. See you again at the next event. Salamat po, Ninang Puregold, sa pagiging generous ninyo. Free shuttle, free snacks, free ticket, and a surprise OPM legend!”

Meanwhile, Ambakung Bibal praised the concert’s spirit of unity: “Love the idea of P-pop groups and veteran OPM artists in one big concert. Camaraderie, respect, and talent all in one! Thank you, Ninang Puregold!”

Online pages dedicated to concert coverages also took notice. The Philippine Concerts Facebook page wrote, “Puregold brings Filipino music to new heights in OPM Con 2025 at the Philippine Arena. Thank you, Puregold, for uniting fans in an epic celebration.”

From emotional ballads to high-energy dance tracks, the night celebrated the full spectrum of Filipino sound. And perhaps most importantly, it reminded everyone of OPM’s power to inspire, connect, and uplift.

“Mumultuhin na naman tayo ng araw na ’to, bukas o makalawa,” quipped Michael Arcos. “Sana may natutunan kayo sa gabing ’to—na lahat naman ng OPM artists ay may common goal. ‘Yan ang OPM Rise.”

From supermarket aisles to arena center stage, Puregold has become a cultural powerhouse, making OPM more accessible than ever.

As Vincent Co, President of Puregold Price Club Inc. puts it, “If this is what Puregold can do for OPM right now, imagine what we can further do for Filipino music and entertainment in the years to come. The future of OPM is brighter, Filipino artists deserve the world stage, and we’re proud to support and be part of that journey.”
