Manila, Philippines – Mark Tuan captivated the hearts of fans after a successful leg of his first solo concert in the country titled ‘The Other Side’ in Manila at the SM North Skydome on January 14, 2024.
“The Other Side” is from Mark Tuan’s first solo album, which was released in 2022. The Asia Tour began in November 2023 in the cities of Taipei and Macao, and resumed in January 2024 in the cities of Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok, and Seoul.
The Skydome was filled with excitement when the singer-songwriter finally took the stage and kicked off the night by performing “After Hours,” “Save Me,” “Change Up,” and “Exhausted.”
“We’re finally here in the Philippines, and I want to thank everybody for coming out tonight,” Tuan greeted his fans who had been waiting for him to return since 2019.
Mark expressed his gratitude to all Filipino Aghases for being part of his first tour and also explained the meaning of the tour name “The Other Side.”
“The Other Side is speaking about that part of us, that part of me.” “I just wanted to express my feelings about this album for a little bit.”
“Even though it may seem perfect onstage, we still experience every single emotion that you guys go through.”
“That’s what The Other Side is all about.” “If you can relate to our song and feel the same thing, I believe that’s the main purpose of this album.”
The singer-songwriter continued the show by performing songs from his album, including “Far Away,” “Last Breath,” “Let U Go,” “My Life,” “Broken,” “Selfish,” “Hard 2 Love,” “More,” “2 Faces,” and “Lonely.”
Tuan made it a night to remember as he performed several songs, including “Never Gonna Come Down,” “One in a Million,” “My Name,” “This is Everything,” and “imysm,” to wrap up the show.
The American-born Taiwanese singer expressed his gratitude to all of his fans and promised to continue working hard and to come back.
“I promise I’ll be back again.” “I love you all and thank you.”
Possible GOT7 Reunion
Filipino AGHASEs are all delighted for this solo concert, as it finally completes the individual visits of all GOT7 members to the Philippines since 2022. Mark Tuan is the last member to complete the lineup.
Fellow members Jay B, Yugyeom, and Youngjae visited Manila in 2022. Meanwhile, Bambam and Jinyoung had their solo concerts, and Jackson was part of the lineup for the Heads in the Cloud Manila in 2023.
GOT7 last visited the Philippines in 2019 for their GOT7 World Tour ‘Keep Spinning’ in Manila, which took place at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“We’re still GOT7, and I hope one day,” the rapper from GOT7 expressed his hope for another concert in the Philippines.
“I appreciate the support you have shown us.” Hopefully, we’ll come back like GOT7. But until then, I need you all to wait a little bit, okay? “You guys can hold onto your light sticks until we come back,” Tuan added.
