Manila, Philippines – South Korean singer and actress Kim Sejeong concluded her first Manila concert, “The Door,” on a high note on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the New Frontier Theater.
The K-drama star of the shows “The Uncanny Counter” and “Business Proposal” delighted the Filo-Sesangs as they witnessed the debut solo concert of the multitalented artist, Kim Sejeong.
Kim Sejeong’s ‘The 門’ concert tour kicked off in Seoul, Korea for a two-day concert then Hong Kong and making the Philippines her third stop for her tour which is presented by Wilbros Live.
Sejeong opened her first solo concert by performing “Whale,” causing the fans to scream with excitement as they finally caught a glimpse of the South Korean star.
“Your cheers are loud,” Sejeong said after witnessing the enthusiastic support from her fans.
The concert featured a diverse setlist, showcasing Sejeong’s incredible vocal range and high-energy dance performances.
The songs she performed during the concert are “Teddy Bear,” “Indigo Promise,” “Send a Letter,” “Plant,” “Top Cliff,” “Jenga,” “Warning,” “Do Dun Chit,” and “If You Do.”
In 2016, Kim Sejeong participated in the reality survival show “Produce 101” and finished as the runner-up contestant of the season.
She is also a former member of the South Korean girl group I.O.I. And Gugudan rose to fame before her success as an actress.
Known for her songs from famous K-drama soundtracks, Sejeong charmed the audience as she performed “All of my Days” (Crash Landing on You), “If Only” (The Legend of the Blue Sea), “Meet Again” (The Uncanny Counter), and “Love, Maybe” (Business Proposal), which made the Filo-Sesangs sing along with her.
“It was such an honor to sing the original soundtrack for the projects I have acted in,” she said after the shoot.
After returning to the country after 7 long years, Sejeong made sure to show her love for the fans. She closely interacted with the audience by walking around the venue while singing “Let’s Go Home”.
The Filo-Sesangs surprised the actress with a special video featuring messages of support from Filo-Sesangs displayed on the screen, which moved Sejeong to tears.
“Thank you so much for loving me,” she said after watching the video.
As the concert came to a close, Sejeong expressed her deep gratitude to her fans once more. She promised to return to Manila soon.
The sold-out concert proved to be a success for Kim Sejeong’s Manila tour, making it a night to remember for everyone who attended the concert.
