Epic Finale: Highlights of the Last Rakrakan Festival 2023

Manila, PhilippinesRakrakan Festival bid its farewell on the vibrant grounds of SMDC Festival Grounds from November 25th to 26th, treating music enthusiasts to an electrifying two-day event that celebrated the essence of Filipino music.

Despite the rain, fans came early to watch the Last Rakrakan Festival show. The event was headlined by musical icons Rico Blanco and Ely Buendia, along with over 170 bands.

The festival welcomed the attendees to a mix of performances on multiple stages with diverse genres.

Day 1

The first day is headlined by former Rivermaya vocalist, Rico Blanco, who enjoyed the finale of the Rakrakan Festival.

Rico Blanco performed some of his iconic songs, including “You’ll Be Safe Here,” “Elesi,” “Umaaraw, Umuulan,” “Antukin,” and more.

Mojofly, Kiyo, Orange & Lemons, Munimuni, December Avenue together with other artist, performed on the Center Stage.

Meanwhile, The Youth, Razorback, Saydie, Kjwan and more bands rocked the Mosh Stage.

Electronic core Girl band Fiester and Cozy Syndrome from Hong Kong also graced the Mosh stage.

Barbie Almalbis, Autotelic, CHNDTR and more artist serenaded the crowd at the Peace Stage.

Day 2

Former Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia took fans on a nostalgic journey. He delivered a set that was nothing short of a musical masterpiece.

The set includes the timeless classic songs “Ligaya,” “Pare Ko,” “Spoliarium,” “Magasin,” and “Ang Huling El Bimbo.”

Fans enjoyed the amazing performance on the center stage with local artists such as Blaster, Juan Karlos, Adie, and more.

Greyhoundz, Typecast, Wilabaliw, Valley of Chrome, Basti Artadi, Mayonnaise, and Chicosci were the main attractions on the Mosh stage.

Meanwhile, Brownman Revival, Imago, Hey June, Bandang Lapis, and Pedicab amazed the fans on the Peace stage.

The event also featured a B2B car show, rap battle, skate competition, street art, and wrestling.

The 2023 Last Rakrakan Festival celebrated the boundless creativity of local music. The event, which started in 2013, will be missed by music fans.
