K-pop stars APink, CIX, Lee Minhyuk, and Nam Woohyun unite at Be You 3 Manila

The highly anticipated BE YOU 3: The World Will Smile concert brought together K-pop stars APink, CIX, Nam Woo-hyun, Lee Min-hyuk, and Filipino artist Ice Seguerra, NOBITA, Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario on July 23, 2023, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The World Will Smile is the third ‘Be You’ concert series which started July 2022 and this time the event is promoting awareness for the cleft lip and palate community.

OPM TALENT AT ITS FINEST

The concert kicked off with performances by Filipino actors Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario.

Known for their remarkable talents in dance and entertainment, the members of Streetboys showcased their dance moves alongside children with cleft lip and palate, captivating the audience and getting them on their feet, dancing and grooving to the beats.

Rising Filipino alt-rock band NOBITA mesmerized the crowd with their set, playing their hit song “IKAW LANG” and their rendition of “AWIT NG KABATAAN,” dedicating it to the youth.

Singer-songwriter and actor, Ice Seguerra, serenades the audience with his own rendition of “I’ll Be There For You” and “With A Smile” alongside members of the cleft lip and palate community.

NAM WOO-RETURNS FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR

Infinite member Nam Woo-hyun, who recently attended the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 event in the Philippines in May 2023, is now back to meet his fans once again.

The South Korean singer-songwriter didn’t disappoint the audience while performing the hit songs “Hold On Me,” “Calm and Passion,” “My Diary,” “Lonely Night,” and “Shooting Star.”

Woohyun also discussed the upcoming comeback of his group, Infinite.

CIX MAKES DEBUT IN MANILA

The five-member boy group, who debuted in 2019, will be making their first performance in Manila at the BE YOU 3 event.

CIX, known for their powerful performances and sleek choreography, further heightened the excitement with their mind-blowing stage presence as they performed their hits “Save Me,” “Kill Me,” “Lost,” “Movie Star,” “Cinema,” and “Color.”

HUTA MESMERIZES THE CROWD

BTOB’s member, Lee Minhyuk, also known as HUTA, was welcomed with a loud cheer when he graced the stage of the event.

The actor and singer-songwriter performed “Dear My Spring,” “I’m Rare,” “Tonight,” and “BOOM,” prompting the audience to sing along with him.

APINK IS BACK AFTER SEVEN YEARS

The main performer is APink, one of the longest active South Korean girl groups. They started their set with their song “DND,” which filled the venue with energy.

Apink, who last visited Manila in 2016 for MTV Evolution, said that they are happy to be back and are looking forward to a solo concert in the future.

Members Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, Namjoo, and Hayoung lived up to expectations as they dominated the stage with their performances of their hit songs “NoNoNo” and “Mr. “Chu,” “I’m So Sick,” and “Dumhdurum.”
