Manila, Philippines – Excitement is in the air as the renowned Filipino singer-songwriter, Ice Seguerra, is set to take center stage as the opening act for Alanis Morissette’s highly-anticipated concert in the Philippines. The back-to-back concerts are scheduled to be held on August 1 and 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Ice Seguerra, an icon in the local music scene, has been an inspiration to many with a career spanning decades and is also know for her song “Pagdating ng Panahon”.
“I grew up listening to her music! This album was my companion mula umaga hanggang gabi,” the OPM icon said about Alanis’ “Jagged Little Pill” album.
Alanis Morissette, a Grammy Award-winning artist, is known for her emotive and empowering songs that have touched the lives of countless fans worldwide.
This concert will finally be memorable to her fans after a series of delay due to the pandemic. This will be a long awaited return in the Philippines for Alanis as she was last here for her first concert for almost 30 years in 1996.
Her Manila show also celebrates the 28th anniversary of her “Jagged Little Pill” album, released in 1995, includes the hits “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic, ” and remains a cultural touchstone and has left an indelible mark on the music industry.
